Robotic Process Automation (RPA) on IBM i

Log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In a 2018 survey by AQPC, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) was rated the 3rd most anticipated technology over the next 18 months. It’s certainly a hot technology area. If you haven’t come across it before, RPA is an easy and simple way to automate business operations without having to re-engineer them. RPA is a software ‘robot’ that imitates human actions. This involves the ‘robot’ undertaking a series of steps to perform a meaningful activity with your existing IT systems in a fully automated way, without any human involvement. In this session we’ll discuss how RPA tools can be brought to the IBM i platform and how they can dramatic enhance user productivity.
The attendee will learn the following: • What Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is and how it can be used on the IBM i platform • The key elements of an RPA solution and how they can make a huge difference when automating business processes and for user productivity • You’ll see RPA tools being demonstrated live on an IBM i and learn how you can use them without having to make any changes to your existing systems or applications
